    L.S. Barron

    (Independently published, March 23, 2020)
RS923 was born on the Rising Star, but the Angel would soon take over. Follow the main character as she not only has to save her friends, but must also save the Rising Star. Angel and the Rising Star is the first of an MG Sci-fi series. Even though it is sci-fi, this story is really about a group of kids and all the many adventures that they pursue throughout the universe. These kids spend a vast amount time on their own and must quickly learn to be independent. They must solve their own problems. This book follows a group of kids that differ in many ways, some are younger, some older, some male, and some female. The kids live in our distant future. Their lives are quite different from our own. However, kids will still be kids, no matter where and when they live. In the future names are not a thing any more as people are named by number only. However, the kids still manage to find their own names, thus, Angel is born. These kids have many different adventures and yet still the same problems that kids may come across today, and yes there are still bullies in the future. Both science and chemistry come into play in this adventure, in such things as speculative space travel, in battling space pirates, and in capturing a blue blob. One can even learn a few new words or dabble in the new Tahuke language. In the end, even a twisted mess of time travel has to come into play.

Four stories of key moments in Moses' life are also retold; his birth, the burning bush, the parting of the Red Sea and receiving the Ten Commandments.
