I've woven in details from my everyday life; mundane things, funny things, some downright hilarious things. THE EYES OF KATURAI II...Cafferty's Creek...is the second volume in THE EYES OF KATURAI series. Most of the characters from THE EYES OF KATURAI...In the beginning... play large parts in this newest book. A few new characters make their debut, all innocent, all with something to hide. In fact, Cafferty's Creek, is tied to one of the original cast, Mrs. Cafferty of Cafferty's Corner Mart. A little over one year has passed since Weston Applegate, his twin sister, Willow, Amy Fletcher, and Amy's brother, Carl, joined up with The Old Guard. The intense training both in classes and on-the-job have helped them become the elite group called Team Katurai. Team Katurai has aided The Old Guard in bringing down individual criminals and even violent organizations who prey on the weak and innocent. During this past year of hard work, Team Katurai has become a very close-knit team, so close, in fact, that Weston wonders how soon wedding bells will be ringing in all their futures. But secrets have a way of changing things for better or worse, in sickness and in health, even 'til death do us part. As Weston soon discovers, secrets can be happy or sad, delightful or embarrassing, good or bad; even downright dangerous. But mostly a secret can be hard to keep and its revelation may be deadly.

Weston Applegate is a 23 year-old farm boy who has served two tours in the Army as a medic in Afghanistan. He is constantly haunted by nightmares of all the bloodshed inflicted on both the military and civilians. To add to his misery, he has come home to help his fraternal twin sister, Willow, care for their failing grandfather, Hiram. Hiram is stricken with Malaria and often speaks of 'eyes, eerie eyes, eerie eyes of cat-r-eye.' He also tells Weston and Willow that they must hide because 'they' are coming. Willow and Weston dismiss Hiram's outbursts as the ravings of a sick man. The story picks up dramatically when Nurse Amy Fletcher comes on the scene. She tells Weston and Willow of a strange encounter she has in the hospital morgue. Amy's brother, Carl, comes on the scene a short while later. Weston, Willow, Amy, and Carl soon find themselves to be unwitting pawns in a Herculean struggle between good and evil. Who is behind all this? What are the motives? Where is this all heading? And why does it involve Weston and company?
