Kaylee the Caterpillar in the Adventure of Life grew out of a series of vivid, full-color dreams the author experienced shortly after the loss of her husband in February of 2002. She would wake up and write down the dreams, and when, after several months, the dreams stopped, she decided it was time to put her notes together and share the story. Kaylee the Caterpillar in the Adventure of Life emerged.
