With the help of a Naval officer friend she was able to give his technical info as well as her personal story. Photos of the military and civilian ceremonies onboard were from those days before the huge ship was moved by huge tugboats to Hawaii for its final moorage. It was written for history buffs as well as those who are young and want to learn the history of our nation.

She took many photos, and tells about back streets of Cairo, tea in the desert with a man who looked ancient, then drove S. along the Nile River. Conditions were primitive until they lived in splendor in a beautiful hotel in Luxor. On little donkeys they explored the Valley of the Kings and Valley of the Queens in extreme heat. Going into tombs, they saw sights she'll tell you about. It's a treasure of memories and photos.
