The Network Cats is a two-part series that follows on from the trilogy, A Cat Called Jasper, and the action takes place in the Big Park, which Jasper and the other cats had to cross in order to get home from the City. The novel is in two parts: Book 1: Ratputinā€™s Revenge followed by this book, Book 2: Jasperā€™s Justice. Jasperā€™s Justice commences six months after the nailbiting end of Ratputinā€™s Revenge, after Jasper and Tiggiā€™s Kittens have been born. In spite of the Networkā€™s efforts to guard them, the Kittens are kidnapped by Ratputin. Jasper and the Network, together with Kowloon, whom Duke fetches from the Big City, eventually defeat Ratputin and rescue the Kittens, with the aid of two Black Rats, Podge and Fats, refugees from the Big City. The book ends with the defeated Ratputinā€™s departure on the last train to the City, guarded by Fats and Podge, there to redeem himself by working in the sewers for the benefit of Ratkind.
