In 1810 a Wyandot chief was killed in Dublin, Ohio. The settlers called him Leatherlips. He fought in the Battle of Fallen Timbers in 1794 and signed the Greenville Treaty. He promised to live in peace with the settlers that were coming into Ohio. It was because of this pledge and his friendship with the settlers in Dublin that he was accused of treason. This book is a wonderful way to introduce children to the early history of Ohio and the Wyandot struggle to preserve their home.
