Stanford was born in Philadelphia to a mom who instilled a respect for words and a love of artistic expression in her children at an early age. Ms. Stanford retired from civil service in 2014 in order to pursue the idea of writing fantasy stories for young and young-at-heart readers. Growing up mostly in sunny South Florida and equipped with a fertile imagination, Ms. Stanford developed a life long love of books and reading. Science fiction/fantasy and super hero stories became a favorite indulgence along with music and art. Ms. Stanford has a long and diverse list of favorite writers that range from J.R.R.
