Her Electric Elephant series: The Wonderful Electric Elephant and On a Lark to the Planets: A Sequel to the "Wonderful Electric Elephant" which represents in a Dime-Novel style the Encyclopedia of Science Fiction of a young lad who chances upon an elephant in the Rockies and almost attempts to kill the huge creature, only to find out that it is motorized, empty, and filled with its maker, who is about to die and wishes it to him. The elephant happens to be able of many means of Transportation, such as Space Flight; it also acts as a powerfully equipped with weaponries and shatterproof flying Mecha, which the hero uses to decimate Native Americans.
