Twelve year old Anna Kennedy has a lot to do this summer. Now that she's a waitress at the diner, she'll have to balance her time with work, band practice, and horseback riding, as well as other adventures she never saw coming. As if things aren't going to change enough with her thirteenth birthday looming closer, there are orphan boys in need of rescuing, her sister has yet another new boyfriend, and to make matters worse, her best friend runs away! Can Anna get everything back to normal before she has to face becoming a teenager?
