What is a monologue?
Well, it is a story told from just one person's point of view. It helps us understand them and get right into their very soul and thoughts. Even Shakespeare wrote in monologues!
So , it's the perfect way to get to know all those horrific creatures who only come out in the dead of night or once a year at Halloween, to hear from the creatures that live in crypts and cupboards and under beds. We can get to know the ghouls and ghosties, monsters and meanies, biters and fliers ...
Because they can't be all bad ...
Can they?
It's finally time to hear the first-hand, real story of five famous stars of Halloween: a werewolf; Dracula; Frankenstein's monster; the Mummy; and a witch! And we find out what their lives are really like.
Think it's all blood, guts and gore? Well, sometimes, when they're not taking care of the kids, doing the school run or picking up the weekly shop! These five monologues are told from the point of view of these classic horror creatures, taking a genre that you think you know well and twisting it into interesting, new shapes!
All the stories have the same opening line ("So, you think it's easy being me?") but go in strange and unusual directions, keeping you smiling and interested along the way.
But don't just take my word for it - let's hear it from the creatures themselves!
