The Puppy Who Wanted to be a Boy

Many children's books personify animals to convey a certain message. THE PUPPY WHO WANTED TO BE A BOY is one of them. It is the story of a Labrador puppy who would rather grow up to be a boy instead of a dog. Throughout the story he strives to become a boy. "Maybe if I eat pizza I'll grow up to be a boy, " he hopefully says. But of course he does grow up to be a dog. However he is trained to become a special dog-a service dog for a Wounded Warrior. The message is "Accept who you are, but be the best that you can be."
