Rear Admiral Grace Hopper was an American computer scientist. She developed the first compiler for a computer programming language and one of the first high-level programming languages, COBOL. Her idea of machine independent programming languages was not accepted for many years. In 1952, despite having a working compiler, no one believed her. This book encourages little girls to explore computer science and to believe in themselves.
