Children's fiction for girls age 10 -14 years.
A TIME TRAVEL MYSTERY story of friendship, family and myth.
Fourteen year old Rosalie Green has been having strange visions ever since the girl her sixth birthday in 1953 when the young girl had given her that old key. The girl had then walked down the garden and vanished. But Rosalie believes that she sees her in the visions. And in one of these - a bloody snow covered scene - the girl is being girl murdered.
Rosalie’s beloved grandfather, Harry Storme, dies and leaves Rosalie his old journal and a new one for herself, in keeping with the Storme family’s tradition of journal writing together with the telling of stories about ‘Guardian Angel’ wood nymphs. Harry himself had always insisted that the spirit nymphs really did live in the woods behind his house.
Grief stricken after Harry’s death, and tormented by her visions, Rosalie reaches out to the wood nymphs for assistance to search for the girl and to prevent her murder.
Rosalie’s story becomes entwined with that of Kyrenius, a mysterious boy god who helps her in her quest. Kyrenius and Rosalie begin to fall in love, but what can become of such a romance? And will Rosalie ever find the girl and save her life?
