Boom Boom the Bass Drum - The Instruments of the Orchestra, is the second in a series of coloring books for early learners. This book contains illustrations for kids to color and learn about music. Boom Boom The Bass Drum is a character based on the life, experiences and travels of the great drummer, author, teacher and inventor, Tommy Thomas. Tommy was born in 1901. He began his drumming/music career performing in Vaudeville Theatres across America. When the Vaudeville era ended, Tommy returned to Chicago and became one of the most in demand drummers/percussionist in Chicago. Tommy performed on radio and early television. He was a member of the American Broadcasting Company orchestra in Chicago. After WW2, Tommy was hired to play drums on the very popular Don McNeill Breakfast Club. Tommy performed with every famous musician, actor, politician, sports figure and celebrity in the world. Boom Boom The Bass Drum speaks about many of these events in the storybook.
