The Super Red Rocket Sled of Mercury Mars: 4th Grade Friends on a Martian Snow Day
language
( March 31, 2015)
Professor Guy Lileo tells his Martian fourth grade class that a Super Snow Storm from the planet Saturn is sweeping towards Mars! A rocket ship from Earth has broken open a hole in the Martian SnowZone, which means the Saturn snow will cover Mars that night!
That means tomorrow will be a snow day!
School will be closed!
The students in class use their antenna texters to cheer, "Hooray for snow day!"
But Mercury Mars, sitting in the back of the classroom, isn’t ready for snow day!
He thinks, "My old snow sled is YUK!"
It fell apart in last year's snow day race.
So Mercury decides to build a new super fast sled after school, and finish it in time to enter the snow day sled race tomorrow and maybe this time he'll win!
And so starts the adventures of fourth grade friends Mercury Mars, Aurora Corona, Jupiter Jones and the Super Red Rocket Sled.
The value of friendship is revealed as the mini-Martians face challenges of building things together, paying attention to warning signs and helping a friend when a bully (the Troll-Bominable Snow Martian) comes calling.
A Martian story of friendship, learning, fun and adventure. Happy snow day!
