Zebra Tales: Bubbles of Feelings

eBook
Children often find it difficult to express their feelings in constructive ways. While they enjoy the good feelings, they may have difficulty coping with the unpleasant variety. Talking about feelings is a good way to understand that whether the feeling feels good or bad, they are normal. Zebra Tales- Bubbles of Feelings the 3rd book in the Wisdom of Mr. Stripes series gives a child a tool for them to use when they experience overwhelming feelings. Often our minds produce worries as thoughts, and feelings that bother us about what might go wrong in the future. Or we feel ashamed, angry or sad regarding something that already happened. Sometimes the feelings are so strong or constant that they interfere with one's ability to fall asleep, or focus on the task at hand. Maybe a child is feeling shy, and this is preventing them from making new friends. In Zebra Tales- Bubbles of Feelings- Grandpa stripes tells little Zebra to image bubbles to put her troubled feelings into. This imaginary process separates the [erspm frp,m the feelings they are experiencing. This way the feelings can be managed. The separateing also identifies that a person is not their feelings, rather they have feelings. This is an imporytant and empowering distinction. All feelings arenormal and okay to feel. Feeling them doesn't mean one has to act outin a destructive expression. Rather feelings come and feelings go. Putting them into bubbles allows for the letting go.
