The Lion and the Elephant

Originally from Sweden, Charles John Andersson was a well-traveled man and a naturalist. Most of his work centered around the flora, fauna, and landscapes of Africa.
In "The Lion and the Elephant," he shares some of his knowledge with us about the physiology, mating habits, and social behaviors of these majestic animals, including their relationships with the local natives and the effects of the presence of man in their domains.
