Lillian has a very unusual mother, who is an expert in quantum physics and mechanics. Right now her mother is experimenting with a machine that can teleport a person to anywhere in the world. Lillian as already been to just about everywhere in the United States and Canada. Today she is about to be teleported to China. It is the farthest her mother has ever sent her, but to do this she must bounce her molecules off two satellite dishes. Something unforeseen happens and Lillian ends up far from home.
