The Youngest Outlaw

eBook (Loose Cannon Ent. Oct. 25, 2017)
A Young Adult western novel by bestselling author W.R. Benton
Young James Larson never intended to become an outlaw, it just happened. While holding open the door for a woman at the town's bank he inadvertently befriended the wrong person. The woman quickly pulled out her gun, held it on the teller and announced the bank was being robbed. Then, again at gunpoint, the woman forced James to accompany her out the door. The ploy worked. The robbers walked out and James could do nothing but walk beside them.

The woman, Norma, was the leader of the gang and for some reason she took a liking to James and forced him to ride at her side as the robbers fled town. With a posse sure to be on the robber's trail, James knew the gang had to keep moving or risk the noose for their crimes. Wounded and weak, James decided to play along with Norma's demands, and expecting in return her protection.

But James quickly learned the outlaw lady had a mean streak a mile wide and she didn't hesitate to knife one of her own men when he challenged her authority. With no one to trust and falling deeper into the lifestyle of the robbers, James fights to hold on to his dreams of rescue, always waiting and watching for a chance to escape.

James' friend Hiram joined in the hunt for the robbers, hoping to help his captured friend, but when the gang reportedly robs another bank, this time with the support of James, Hiram doesn't know what to think.

Is it possible James has finally turned outlaw?
