Fifty street children rescued from poverty enter a mysterious United Nations training program. Their mission: compete with an unknown number of other groups to become the first settlers of a distant planet. To become settlers, they must first become survivors. Their survival training is hands-on and brutal, and not all of the Survivors will make it through.
Aleesha is one of the fifty. Growing into womanhood as she grows into this new world, she and her team learn how to live in wilderness from forest to swamp and from mountain to desert. Along the way this quiet girls finds and inner strength she never knew existed.
