The war for the forest continues, deep in the shadows....
With Andrew’s death, the Overseer of the Forest should have returned. But instead, Becka has yet to hear from him and the tension in the Overseer’s world has only grown. Stuck with the living pack, she is unable to do anything to help as she is trying to find a way to adjust to her new life in a pack that is on the verge of collapsing.
Cast out and blamed for Andrew's death, Becka flees. But a Shadow Creature attack brings Rukisha back to her, making them both seek out Vippora for guidance. As soon as they arrive, he gives them the news Becka was hoping for. All that is left for them to do is survive a trip into the heart of the Shadow Creature's world where more than just secrets are waiting for them....
