Haunted West

eBook
Zeke Conley has traveled the range for the last few years and found it to his liking. He and his horse Rusty manage to stay out of trouble most of the time and well fed some of the time. When the young man stumbles upon an abandoned campsite he doesn't know quite what to make of it. There is a burned out fire with a cold pot of coffee, along with an empty bedroll nearby. Not far away stands a big green eyed horse tied to a tree looking a little bit scared and a whole lot thirsty. Zeke waits a full day; after no one shows up he decides to take the horse to the nearest town and turn her, along with the missing man's belongings, over to the sheriff. It's then that Zeke's troubles begin as he finds that this isn't the only abandoned campsite to be found in the area. Men are going missing and the young man is cajoled into helping solve a mystery that's been keeping folks up at night. He won't be searching for answers alone though, Marshal Savage and Judge Preston ride along, at times regretting their decision.
