The Shady Hollow Kids: Heavenly Piglets
( March 6, 2020)
Do you remember your favorite place, home or neighborhood? Shady Hollow may remind you of that place and time in your life. The kids living there in the valley are happy, free and always learning. They step up to help the neighbors with chores, and make sure the animals are fed and watered. A surprise happened one Christmas when some piglets were born. No one knew the Mama pig was expecting. It was a Christmas miracle. The piglets lead the kids to a lonely boy with disabilities. He was in a wheelchair; very shy and did not make friends easily. His grandmother tried to protect him, but in doing so, she made him more withdrawn. The kids wondered if she was a witch because of her strange behavior. Read how the miracle piglets bring them together and teach the Shady Hollow Kids about friendship; and that you can’t judge people by appearances only. They learn that just because a dog is black it doesn't mean that he is bad. It's just his coat color. Read how they learn that you must look inside to know who a person or a dog, really is. Children's easy to read book. 6 X 9 , 74 pages, ages 0 to 11.
