Sir Lionel and the Quest for Jimmy's dad
( July 14, 2011)
While on holiday in mid-Wales, Jimmy Jones makes friends with Hannah Louise Thomas, and they pass their time climbing the mountains that tower over their village.
To their amazement, they stumble across Sir Lionel, a knight of the Court of King Arthur, who, sent into an enchanted sleep with his comrades hundreds of years ago, keeps waking up and wandering about the country.
When Jimmy's dad, who works in the Museum of London, is kidnapped by crooks intent on stealing the famous Lord Mayor's coach, Jimmy, accompanied by Sir Lionel, Hannah Louise and her mother, Cerys, and Gelert, their dog, set off on a quest to rescue him.
Along the way, they are forced to confront dragons, lemures, and a giant bronze statue brought to life by the sorceress, Morgan le Fey. They also meet King Bran and Myrddin, characters from the time of King Arthur who have found novel ways of making a living in 21st century England.
After a long and dangerous journey, they confront the kidnappers in London's docklands, only to find that Morgan le Fey has followed them and has plans of her own.
