Paperback (Leopold Classic Library March 14, 2016)
About the Book

Naval history titles focus on the area of military history dealing with war at sea, which is a sub-discipline of the broader field of maritime history. Most of that focus has been on combat between ships at sea, although frequently naval strategy is centered around the need to protect transport shipping. Some of the epic sea battles of all time are: Salamis, between the Greek city-states and the Persian Empire under King Xerxes (480BC); Lepanto, between the Holy Roman Empire and the Ottoman Empire (1571); Trafalgar, between the British and French navies (1805); Tsushima Straights, between the Japanese and Russian empires (1905); and Midway, between Japanese and US carrier forces (1942).
