Crane believed, "Art belongs to everybody - anytime, everywhere,” Walter Crane an outstanding artist and book illustrator. Considered one of the most influential for children’s books of his age. He has been compared to Randolph Caldecott and Kate Greenaway, by others who are included in several Illustrated Children’s Classics. Crane painstaking added more colorful and detailed characters and was part of the Arts and Crafts movement besides creating paintings, illustrations, ceramic tiles, and other decorative arts.
