How to Make and Keep Friends

KINDERWISE is a live touring stage production that features SPARKELINA (a magical doll), BUSYBEE (a giant bee), and SOPHIE (a pink elephant). Kinderwise is the brainchild of a husband and wife team based in Southern California. They noticed that much of what they taught their child could be described as the How-To's of Life! They wanted to present these subjects in a way that children would remember. With extensive input from childcare professionals, teachers, and children, the EQ (emotional intelligence) book series "The HOW-TO's of Life" was born. "How to Make and Keep Friends" is an easy-to-use tool that uses Kinderwise characters to act out common, awkwardsocial situations that children experience andencounter. Children will view the unintended consequences of inappropriate behavior through the eyes of BusyBee, Sophie, and Sparkelina and watch as they resolve each situation in asatisfactory way. Remaining friends (and making new ones) is the goal of each social interactionin this book. Parents and educators may also use their reading time as a conversation starter and delve into the real-life experiences of their children by using the "Suggested Reading Methods" outlined at the beginning of the book. "How to Make and Keep Friends" can be used just for fun or as a teaching tool in a classroom setting, therapy group, or home.
