Trouble in Alaska

This book, written by 9 year-old Wake Ryan, tells the story of a boy name Mal, who lives in Alaska with his parents and team of half-wolf sled dogs. One day poachers venture too near his home, and Mal has to defend his wolves and his family. During the battle, Mal gets lost in the woods and finds himself in deep trouble. He is alone, scared, and weak, but he is determined to survive. With the help of the Northern Star and the skills he’s learned growing up in the wild, Mal sets off on his journey to find his way back home.
