Dumping Grounds

language ( Feb. 13, 2017)
First, I want to mention that Amazon.com (Kindle) is donating, in my name, a portion of my royalties to the Spina Bifida Association of America, my birth defect.

This collection of six stories, three from two of my other books set a sad theme although there is happy, humor and love here. ‘Dumping Grounds’ is a term for people who are placed into Assisted Living or Skilled Nursing Facilities so that uncaring families don’t have to care for them anymore or lose them. Sometimes, the patients or residents never see their families again. What a sad way to live. The patients or residents in this book are Gail, Norman, Tracy, Dhani, Jan, and Kenny. Some are a composite of people that I have known.

In these pages, you will experience the lonely, sad but also, the happy, content, loved and many talents. CNAs and nurses are often the only friends that these patients or residents have.
