Brock Talks to a Rock

Brock Talks to a Rock is a children's story of a boy and his dog who, while playing down by the creek, happen upon a magical rock that can speak. The little, flat rock and Brock become fast friends, and Brock and Rock are soon inseparable. Brock wants to learn the art of rock skipping so he can win the annual skipping contest that takes place in his hometowns festival to celebrate summer, but he doesn't want to practice. Rock is eventually faced with helping Brock win the contest the only way he knows how. What ensues is a lesson learned the hard way by Brock and the realization that he should have listened to his friend Rock and put in the time to make himself better.
