Benjamin (Bean) Greene spent his summer building a wall - a wall that became a portal to a beautiful, magical world called Edinnu. With his younger brother Wart at his side, Bean encounters a society led by One, a malevolent ruler bent on Bean's destruction. With the help of his new friends Maximus, Joshua, and the beautiful and feisty Seven Hunter, Bean is taken to the "Garden" to visit the meek and lowly one. There Bean learns just who and where he is.
