Clara Barton

eBook ( Dec. 7, 2015)
Clara Barton was the most well known woman in the world at the turn of the 20th Century. By 1901 she had founded the Red Cross and also attended the wounded and victims of natural disasters in the United States and throughout Europe. My e-book looks at this remarkable pioneering nurse who was born in a small Massachusetts town. Following stints as a teacher and U.S. patent office Barton began her life service as a nurse and supervisor of Red Cross workers. The text of my book was researched mostly from newspapers published while Clara Barton was living.
