When Pigs Can Fly
eBook
A young vicar and his wife, Mary, are struggling with the difficulties of country life in the 1930s. One day three children knock on the vicarage door and bring new warmth and friendship to the parish. They sing like angels, they act like angels and they look like angels. Professor Muddlekins, a scientist of note, reasons, "if angels exist then, possibly, they could be angels.” In the face of this opinion, the ladies of the village post office and the customers of the Red Lion Inn decide to call them, “The Angel Gang”. Other children join them and together they fight an outbreak of diphtheria, overcome the doubts of the Bishop's assistant and help a villager come to terms with his memories of the Western Front. Anything is possible when pigs can fly.
