Freshman Daniel Brown has spent the last year growing at a crazy rate, but it’s about over. Before he can enjoy being bigger and stronger than all the other guys in high school, puberty leaves him with one final parting gift: He’s a shapeshifter. But he isn’t stuck shifting just into a wolf; he can climb trees as a squirrel, battle a cannibalistic spider as a mouse, and play dog-fight with his own golden retriever. Things go downhill fast when Daniel receives a blackmail note from someone who knows his secret. Turns out he’s surrounded by tribes of shifters, and some are just crazy enough that they might be committing a rash of robberies and grisly animal killings. Using his new shifter skills, Daniel sets out to protect his home town with his new best friend and the shifter girl they both fall for.
