Bronson Potter, Patricia Rosenkranz

The poet who couldn't wait for spring

Hardcover (Reilly & Lee Co March 15, 1964) , 1st edition
It was winter! The poet and his only friend Spotted Dog were so cold they simply could not wait for spring to come. Every day they went out to search for signs of it, and every day an icy wind blew them right back into their shack. The poet tried to console the shivering little dog by telling him about all the fine, wonderful things they would see and do when spring finally did come, but he could not control his own impatience. But one day Spotted Dog got sick, and in nursing him, the poet forgot himself. By the time Spotted Dog was up and around, many things had changed, including the poet and his goals.
