Facing his first bull in a Madrid training academy for matadors, he discovers he hasn’t the killing heart needed to become a great matador. Sadly, he and Maria head for home in their horse-drawn cart, their route taking them over the mountains and across the barren plains towards their little pueblo of San Felipe.
Is it fate that El Toro La Muerte, “The Bull of Death,” has escaped from a nearby bull ranch and is headed their way? Does Miguel have the skill needed to face this dangerous adversary all alone in the desert? And, more importantly, will he find the killing heart he will need in order to save the lives of Maria and himself?
