The New World: A Post-Apocalyptic Dystopian Survival Novel

language ( Feb. 10, 2017)

A new series for fans of Science Fiction and post-apocalyptic survival novels.

A hundred years in the future, the human population on Earth is dwindling. We were invaded, they conquered, and they settled in amongst what was left of us. Those born after are integrated into the society as little more than slave labor. I was one of the lucky ones. I got a “posh” job in one of the “Founding Family” homes. Actually, my mother and father did, but the one thing that is a high value on all of Earth is maintaining families. There is very little divorce, or “uncoupling” as they call it; breaking up a family is a taboo dating back to the invaders homeland. Most kids my age are in segregated schools, but since there are so few human children in this area of the country (what used to be called Florida), I get the privilege of attending with the “others”. Not that I get all of their coursework, my two best friends and I are pulled out for our apprenticeship trainings. I have been ingrained to hate the invaders, to fight losing what is left of my spirit to them, to always be polite and subservient, but never ever did I think I would actually start to fall in love with one of them. But I did and this is our story.
