It is the twenty-first century. Humans have destroyed the world with the mis-use of magic. The few who survive try to carve out a life for themselves, foraging by night, hiding below ground by day. The Grandmaster’s machines control the world above ground, seeking to destroy those who remain. Romarnica Fey is the teenage girl leading a group of abandoned children calling themselves the Changelings. Their only hope of salvation is to find a mythological Book of Shadows known as The Salamander Lexicon: A ritual said to be powerful enough to reverse Armageddon…. but the Lexicon exists only in the past, and Romarnica must cross Parallelium, the chasm between the past and the future, to join forces with her old self and prevent the end of the world before anyone knows it’s coming….
