A modern adventure novel for boy, girls and adults.

Computer games are great but this could happen to you, in real life, now. Kit Hammond and Errol Mathews find out the hard way when their remote controlled model gets them into and out of big trouble.

Two fourteen year olds, Kit Hammond and Errol Andrews are keen radio controlled car racers. During a holiday with their fathers they are confined to the chalet because of bad weather. To combat the boredom of staying indoors, Errol’s father suggests they design a model ATRV, All Terrain Rescue Vehicle. One of their racing team mates, a 28 year old American named Jeb Thorsen, designs and builds his own race cars from scratch. He sees the boy’s design and offers to make a radio controlled model of the ATRV.

When he finally presents them with the finished vehicle the boys are delighted and soon discover the ATRV to be a small and highly manoeuvrable robot capable of operating in places and conditions the boys never could.

Although it was designed and built for fun they soon discover the ATRV’s potential in real life situations to get them both, into and out of trouble.

In part one they tangle with a gang of thieves, while staying with Kit’s aunt in the country.

The night before they went to the country Kit bumped into a mysterious and frightening, white eyed man in London. The man was outside the restaurant where Kit had been eating with Errol and their fathers. Later when the boys go to join Kit’s father for a holiday in New York, a fresh and more sinister adventure begins. Their friend Jeb is in serious trouble and White Eyes is back on the scene.
