About the Book

Great Britain consists of three countries, England, Scotland and Wales. It is the island itself and does not include Northern Ireland. It lies between the North Atlantic and the North Sea and is separated from continental Europe by the English Channel. Most of England consists of lowland terrain while Scotland is unique due to the Highland Boundary fault. It separates two distinct areas, Highlands in the north west and lowlands in the south and east. Wales is mostly mountainous.
