language (Workbooks Press Dec. 28, 2013)

Perdita's Fifth Book Is Her Most Amazing Yet!

If you've read Perdita Whacknoodle's other funny dog books, you know that she's a most unusual dog. She's arrogant, and she thinks that dogs are smarter than people--but she's willing to help bring humans up to her level.

In this book, her human 'translator,' Laura, tries, and tries, and tries to get some straight answers from Perdita about how she became such an unusual dog.

Instead of answering those questions, Perdita rambles off into even more outlandish stories--mostly about her outlaw-dog father, Par Whack.

Here, Par tries to meet a famous German professor who comes to the local college to give a lecture on what humans might learn from dogs. The results, as you might expect, are nothing short of disastrous, but before the evening is over, Par has found several more ways to create chaos and confusion on the college campus.

And, As Usual, There's a BIG Chase!

As you probably know, Perdita's adventurous father has a lot of adventures, and they mostly end with huge police chases. Often helicopters, and dog catchers, and sheriffs, and many others try to catch the wily Par Whack.

But, according to Perdita, they'll NEVER catch Par. He's much too smart for mere humans.

"I'm Sparkelizing and ReCombobulating Your Pathetic Language

When Perdita isn't telling outrageously wacky stories about her dog relatives, she tries to "improve" Laura. In one chapter in May Contain Nuts! she invents lots of new words to colorfy and exciticate the boring English language. You may giggle, but you'll soon find yourself using Perdita's words---we're sure of that!

But . . . Who IS Perdita Whacknoodle

Laura keeps trying to get a straight answer from Perdita. Who IS this odd dog? How did she get this way? How does she transmit her thoughts into Laura's brain? You'll agree that these are good questions.

But Perdita simply ignores all Laura's questions and delves right into MORE of her amazing tales.

Laura never gives up, and she keeps searching for answers, but Perdita just tells her more and more amazing new dog tales.

If you like dogs, like laughing, and have a bit of a creative imagination . . . you'll join the thousands of other readers who have found a new dog hero in the unlikely person of Perdita Whacknoodle!

And, if you want to encourage your child to enjoy reading--here's just the book to do it.
