The town of Plantsville takes great pride in their junior league baseball team. Coach Mathis doesn't believe girls should play or coach baseball. The first day of practice for the summer junior league baseball season Jennifer Nelson the high school girl's softball coach asks Mathis can she help coach the team. Mathis rejects her offer laughing that she is out of her league trying to coach boys. Lisa Douglas new to town comes out to try out but is turned away by Mathis saying girls are not allowed on the team. Jennifer decides to start a Junior baseball team. Jennifer was surprised to find out there were a lot of kids not allowed to play on Mathis team. Jennifer's team and is the only team in the league with a team mixed with girls and boys. Mathis didn't want another team from Plantsville, so he did all he could to keep her team off the field. Jennifer sets out to prove all the critics wrong about her team as they battle to prove they belong on the field.
