Mercy Stick is a nostalgic look at the great billiards rivalry between Willie Mosconi and "Minnesota Fats", Rudolf Wanderone Jr. Its a coming of age story given by Donald "Red" Urquhart a World War II veteran told to his grandson Kelly on one fateful afternoon in the family billiards room. The history of billiards is long and very rich. The game has been played by kings and presidents to the gamblers and hustlers alike. Which side will you take? One of an etiquette and genteel game or would you gamble and hustle for a buck or two? Red is caught in the middle but with a special omen type cue stick in hand will bring one man to his knees with his "Mercy Stick".
