Keeper

Paul is a 13-year-old South African boy who has lost his parents and whose life over the following years is a complex journey through surviving on the streets, clashing with the law and struggling to gain acceptance. Football becomes an obsession, and he finds himself drawn in particular to the role of the goalkeeper, who is generally regarded as an outsider. Although the sport becomes the mainstay of his life, jealousy, violence and his criminal past complicate his attempts at finding success, friendship and love.
