GOING BATS

language ( March 1, 2015)
It was no secret Bobby played computer games, got A’s in school and wore thick, black glasses the class bully knocked off his head everyday. The secret nobody knew—Bobby was afraid of bats. Not the kind of bats you hit balls with, either. The kind that plunge their fangs in your neck and suck the blood out of you. That kind of bat.

Scarier still, Bobby finds a bat living in his mom’s patio umbrella and goes bonkers, hiding a stake under his bed and boarding up his bedroom window in case of a bat attack. When his Mom suspects he’s afraid of bats, she bugs him to face his fear by finding out all he can about the misunderstood creatures. Bobby’s problem then—whether he can stay alive long enough to discover the real truth about bats.
