Six months later, while playing with her two kittens, Alice is intrigued by a large mirror and, wondering about the world that exists on the other side, discovers to her amazement that she can step right through it and into the fantastic world beyond. Through the Looking-Glass was published in 1871. It includes such celebrated verses as Jabberwocky and The Walrus and the Carpenter, as well as the famous episode with Tweedledum and Tweedledee. The mirror which inspired Carroll is currently displayed in Charlton Kings.
