The Dragon's Song

A fantasy adventure novel aimed at the young teens or pre-teens but with chapters short enough to be read to younger children as a bed-time story. It is 1956 and in the Lancashire cotton-mill town of Wernley twelve year old Tommy is trying to come to terms with his father’s recent death. He finds his way through a terrifying forest to a parallel, magical world populated by talking animals and mythical creatures including a dragon. His adventures there help him to work through his anger, grief and frustration and find hope for the future.
