Nathaniel Devereaux has the highest grades in the eighth grade. He has won the student of the year award twice now, yet his classmates and some of his teachers belittle him. Why? Because he stutters. Sometimes Nathaniel doesn't even bother talking because most people are not patient enough to hear what he has to say. Moreover, those who are, listen only to have something to joke about later. His life is miserable, but everything changes when his parents send him to a special school for the gifted that promises to help him with his speech impediment. When Nathaniel is enrolled into a school surrounded by an asteroid field, things aren't always as they seem. Nathaniel not only finds friends from across the universe, he also finds adventure and a strength he never knew he had. He will forever be changed for the better, if he survives....
