Delivering presents to 500 million children in one night is almost impossible, especially when you're shipwrecked on a remote Alaskan coast. Ever adaptable, Father Christmas recruits society's rejects - the gnomes, elves and reindeer - as his crew and together they do the impossible - they deliver the presents, all of them. They call their Christmas delivery The Way.But so tough is the run and so tight the schedule that no delays are possible, for the sledge must not run in daylight. If it does it will explode.But when Father Christmas is ill Mother Christmas takes over and she's not happy with what she sees. She redistributes presents, chats to children, and changes The Way.On the edge of dawn, with an exhausted crew and an injured Captain a rookie reindeer takes over. There's only one problem, Trey skipped most of reindeer school to jump off mountains and ski down frozen waterfalls and so far on the run he's broken the reindeer code and failed to pull his weight.
