The Secrets of Loch Maree

It is the spring of 1748, two years after Liam, Ailis, and their deerhound Duncan have made the long, dangerous journey from Culloden’s bloody battlefield to the western Scottish highlands. Still haunted by memories of the dead and dying, the two teens have nonetheless found comfort and safety in each other with Liam’s grandparents on Loch Maree.


However, their idyllic life—and plans for an upcoming wedding—are abruptly put on hold when they find a mysterious young man washed up on the loch’s shore, a young man who claims to have no memory of who is or how he got there. So why is the British army looking for him? And how is his sudden appearance connected to the eerie singing coming from the islet in the middle of the loch, which only Ailis is able to hear?
